Spark

Wednesdays
4-6pm PST.

Do you have a great idea and don't know where to start? Do you find structure overwhelming? Do you need accountability?

Welcome to Spark!

In Spark, we focus on structure and outlining for the big (and small) screen. Alex will introduce you to various different tried and true screen structure
techniques and combine them with the Henrikson T/F-Axis, so you can figure out what your process as a writer is.

Most important: no matter which structure you decide works for you, you will learn to approach it from a character's need and from the Henrikson True/False Quads.

You will outline pilots, shorts, screenplays and even pitches.

As your Coach, Alex will challenge you to do your best while allowing you to make space for messy, creative play.

Flame

Mondays
4-6:30pm PST.

Have you written a few things? Do you "get" structure? Are you ready to practice so you can know yourself and your process?

Welcome to Flame!

In Flame, you will write all the way from your "Shitty First Draft" to your polished script. You will deepen your understanding of your own voice, check your math, practice, learn how to take and give notes, understand resistance, commune with other writers, and expand your imagination.

Most important: you will grow in your own understanding of your process. And as for writing, it is up to you for how fast or slow you want to go. Remember: a huge part of writing is learning YOUR process.

You will write write write.

As your Coach, Alex will challenge you to do your best while allowing you to make space for messy, creative play.
